They should not interfere with each other, unless you mixed up your short cuts or installation directories. If this is a reproducible problem then please supply us with a bug report.

Looking at the crashdump, then the problem is that Steam and Bitdefender don-Št like each other very much and thus cause a crash when Steam tries to start its overlay.
